bruXane
Bruxane is a german engineered teeth grinding device that reduces pain and chronic headaches. They needed Ecommerce functionality as well as custom logins for wholesalers, with vendor discounts. The UI is very clean, and all CTA’s drive to the online store.
Flower Lovers
Flowerlovers had a Shopify store that was really outdated, and had poor navigation and user experience. They also had a number of issues such as people ordering outside their delivery zone of Metro Brisbane and having to refund those customers, which was creating more admin and work for the staff. The new site has a much better design and is now able to filter buyers by postcode and either allow them to purchase or not purchase based on their input.
State of Soul
State of Soul is a boutique yoga studio based in Dingley Village. They already had a branding designer do their logos, fonts and colours, so I created a mockup and built out the site according to her specs, including setting up Mindbody, Mindbody Branded web widgets and testing the workflow to ensure easy online memberships.
Sanctuary Studio
Sanctuary Studio is a fashion and homewares E Commerce business that needed a website upgrade. They got a new site built on php 8, which is significantly faster than the old site, creating a better user experience for their clients and aiming at optimising conversion over time.
Cinemotive
Cinemotive is a Sydney and Southern Highlands based Videographer and photographer, who needed a website refresh to feminise and prettify their site. The point was to make the images and content shine, and on conjunction with his content writer we achieved a great result.
Megan Jordan Celebrant
Megan originally designed her own website, using a non code page builder that left her short on many functions. She wanted a design similar to her previous website, but with all the functionality that WordPress offers. I rebuilt her site in Genesis, with SEO in mind and she had a tenfold increase in enquiries for her Celebrant business.
Termite Catchers
Termite Catchers needed a website that communicated their company goals and values, whilst also educating prospective clients. They had started their project with another web developer, but the site had not been completed. They had awesome written content, and I helped finish the site build, adding in social links, a contact form, marketing integration and email responders for clients via Active Campaign.
Talking Respect
Talking Respect is an initiative by Maree Crabbe and various partners, and is an educational resource for young people in central Australia to have healthy relationships, promote respect and prevent violence. You can view the article about this project on ABC news.
Public Sector Network
I formerly worked as the development lead for Public Sector Network. Public Sector Network is a social learning platform for public sector professionals. Maintenance of the PSN site requires managing the AWS Server, updating the WordPress plugins and software, managing the SQL database, optimising page tags for SEO, CSS/JS changes and debugging.
Elissa Hill Communications
Elissa Hill is a communications specialist, and she wanted to make sure her website reflected her style guide and brand values. Elissa had started the project with another developer, but multiple tasks were incomplete so I worked with Elissa and the design agency brief she provided me. The end result is a beautiful website, updated with her new brand colours, Wp forms and crystal clear svg icons.
The Process
The design of your website is paramount to creating an excellent first impression. Your website should not only look good, it should generate leads and sales for you. I embrace a 3 step process:
- Design. We start with a design mockup in photoshop, and do a homepage, inner page and device mockup. For lower budget projects, I would do a very basic wireframe or use an existing WordPress theme as a mockup.
- Development. This is where the design of your website turns into code! I setup a staging site so every step of the way you are across the development process and can make changes as needed.
- Marketing. Finally, I check all of your image alt tags, meta tags, sitemap and on page keywords to make sure your site is setup to be found in google. Plus, we add in email marketing integration so you never ever miss an inbound lead.
